Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Sentry Boxes

For all Chitty Chitty Bang Bang fans out there, we are offering two authentic sentry boxes from the West End production of this fabulous show.

Used on stage in the scenes at Baron von Bomburst’s castle, they stand 86” high and will accommodate anyone up to 6ft tall who has theatrical aspirations! The inside of each box bears the logo of Vulgaria, which was Bomburst's fictional empire.

The two boxes come with a lectern, from which The Baron gave his commands flanked by the sentries on either side. Who can forget his cry of “I vaaaaaant dat car!”

Bomburst was second only to ‘The Childcatcher’ when it came to striking fear in children’s hearts, so if you’ve got an unruly brood at home and you’re desperate to reassert your authority then this could be the platform! 

These had seen a lot of action on stage so we have sympathetically restored all three pieces, including the accompanying dummy microphone. Now on display at our Weybridge showroom, they stand ready for inspection by any budding Barons!
